Одна из ранних иллюстраций к роману "Борцы за свободу". На рисунке изображен один из эпизодов, где в одной из глав Марк Байдмер лидер белых стражей защищал свою ученицу Хариту Искаеву и её подругу Юньку Нариссову от чёрных рыцарей. Нарцисс Тиссен приказал чёрным рыцарям уничтожить всю армию белых стражей, никого не щадить, ни молодых ни старых. Согласно сюжету главы Марк гибнет пожертвовав собой ради спасения девочек, но автор решила изменить главу - ей хочется чтобы Марк остался жив, Нариссова отговаривает его идти на смерть ради их спасения, просит его подумать о Харите, как же она будет без него жить одна. Марк пожалел Хариту и решил остаться на этом свете и после войны жить вместе с Харитой в Уральске, воспитывать её как родной отец. А Нариссова поняла, что на самопожертвование люди идут от любви к своим близким.

One of the earliest illustrations for the novel "freedom Fighters". The figure shows one of the episodes, where in one of the chapters of Mark Baydmer the leader of the white guards defended his pupil Harita Iskaeva and her friend Junona Narissova  from the black knights. Narcissus Thyssen ordered the black knights destroy the whole army of the white guards, no one spare, neither young nor old. According to the story of the head of the mark dies sacrificing himself for the salvation of girls, but the author decided to change the Chapter she wants to mark remained alive, Narissova dissuade him to death for the sake of their salvation, asks him to think about Harita how she will live without him one. Mark regretted Harita and decided to stay in this world and after the war, to live together with the Charity in Uralsk, raise her as my own father. And Narissova realized that the self-sacrifice of the people go from love to your loved ones.
